At RuRu's, we strive to provide fresh, quality dishes in a fun and festive atmosphere. Although it's Mexican on the menu, RuRu's draws inspiration from Latin, Korean, American and Greek fare, and our kitchen begins each recipe with the integrity of using only pure and simple ingredients. From our chunky guacamole to our slow cooked carnitas, your taste buds will burst with flavor from foods made fresh daily!
Our Story
RuRu's Tacos + Tequila
RuRu's is Martin Sprock's brain-child. After successfully developing, growing and selling Moe's Southwest Grill, Martin set his eyes on Mexican food that was fun, crave-worthy and approachable. In 2015, that mission gave birth to RuRu's Tacos & Tequila in Charlotte, NC. With a menu people love, drinks everyone raves about and genuine service, RuRu's blossomed, quickly becoming a Charlotte favorite.
In 2016, Martin fell for Charleston. Attracted to its cobble-stone streets and southern hospitality, he and his family began spending more time in the area. He decided to open a RuRu's when the time was right. In 2019, the time was right. The rest is history.
